WHO WE ARE

Nick & Mekynzi:
After Nick went to school for business, he met Mekynzi and fell in love. They moved to Nashville, Tennessee together & spent 5 years there - the last year and a half Nick was the bar manager at a new restaurant that served an all natural wine list, with unique varietals and wines that paired well with Asian food. This reignited his love of wine and prompted him to take a WSET wine course. Shortly after moving back to California, the opportunity arose to open a wine bar with his in-laws and the rest is history.

Gilbert & Jasi:
Jasi and Gilbert have been locals to Shell Beach and Avila Valley since 1987, where they raised their four kids and started businesses on the coast. Their love for wine started when their good friends (owners of Costa de Oro Winery) introduced them to the wine-making process, tasting, and pairing wines. Jasi also owns Fringe, the hair salon next door to Brix, for the past 30 years. When the opportunity presented itself to take over this space, a wine bar was the unanimous decision!

We started Brix with the shared love of gathering with family and friends while creating a beautiful space for the community to take pleasure in! Take a seat, pour a drink, and enjoy this space with us!
